Our tour of Scarborough Market Hall and Vaults
We were on the hunt for something extraordinary to share with you all, and the first thing that came to mind was Scarborough Market Hall and Vaults, nicknamed the “Covent Garden of the north”. If you’ve not heard of this place before, tune in, because we’re about to take you on a magnificent tour around this must-visit destination filled with independent pop-up shops, fresh local food, galleries, and of course, the ‘vaults’.
Located on the ground floor of the Market Hall, Deli Delicious is a busy cafe, takeaway, and delicatessen that sells meats, freshly-baked butcher’s pies, main meals, sandwiches, cakes, and snacks. All items are sourced by local suppliers, and they really do offer something for everyone.
Tucked away in the corner of the ‘vaults’ is what its owners describe as an ‘eclectic mix of antiques, interiors and collectables’. If you’re looking for one-off pieces for your home, or fancy bring back a unique souvenir, Vaults Interiors is well worth a visit.
From boutique jewellery shops to artwork and materials stores, Scarborough Market Hall hosts a whole range of pop-up shops, resident stores, and eateries. You can view an extensive list of traders on the Market Hall’s website.
From charity clothes swaps to ‘mind, body, and spirit days’, Scarborough Market Hall is home to an array of events, concerts, and exhibitions. You can take a look at what’s coming up during your stay by looking through the venue’s event calendar.
