Big Bear Bikes

We are a large, friendly and expert independent bike store located in Pickering, half way between Scarborough and York. Pickering, is home to the North York Moors Steam Railway and the gateway to the North York moors.

Cycle Hire
We have a large fleet of hire bikes including electric bikes, mountain bikes, and road bikes. We are an e-bike specialist store with 30+ bikes in stock and all available to test ride as well as 100+ ‘normal’ bikes. We believe in ‘try before you buy’, so you can always be sure of getting the best, most suitable, and comfortable bike for you. We offer 0% finance up to 36 months and all Cycle 2 Work schemes.
The store carries a large range of clothing, with changing room facilities. Numerous parts and accessories from all the best cycling brands and a free bike wash – we are your one-stop cycling shop!
We have a busy workshop, staffed by qualified mechanics to help keep you in the saddle. We repair and service all makes and types of bikes – whatever the age and condition!
We can advise you on any aspect of cycling such as e-biking, triathlon, sportive, mountain biking, enduro, child carrying or touring, and we pride ourselves on our friendliness, level of knowledge, and expertise.
