1. Can I park at the hotel?

Although we don’t have a private car park, there is on-street parking available at the hotel. Hurrah! When you get here, we’ll sort you out with a daily permit to display in your car which will allow you to park in the zones surrounding the hotel.

We also have spaces available in a nearby NCP Car park if you’d prefer to park up & leave your car for the duration of your stay.

2. What are your check-in & out times? Do you offer early/late check-in/out?

Our check-in time is 3 pm & check-out is 11 am. Great news, we do offer an early check-in or late check-out of 1 pm for just £15! You’re also welcome to drop off your bags & grab a parking permit if you do arrive before check-in time.

3. Do I have to book to dine in the restaurant? Do you accept non guests?

At Bareca, everyone is welcome! Including non guests (& four-legged friends). There’s no need to book a table, just come along when you’re ready & someone will look after you.

4. What measures are you taking as a hotel to ensure you are Covid safe?

Following the Covid-19 outbreak, we’ve implemented some extra safety precautions for when you stay with us, including minimised contact, contactless/card payments & increased hygiene measures.

5. What is your policy on bringing dogs? Do you have rooms that dogs aren’t allowed in?

We’re not just dog friendly, we’re dog lovers, enthusiasts, fanatics! (Not in a weird way.) Dogs are welcome throughout the hotel, even in the lounges & Bareca! We also have dog-free rooms which we reserve for our guests who specifically request one.

6. Is the hotel family friendly? Do you provide beds for children and travel cots?

Little ones are more than welcome & we have a number of family rooms available. We provide travel cots at just £15 a night which are available for the Medium rooms & up. Just make sure you pop your request in the special requirements box up when you book.

7. How much is bike hire at the hotel? What is the policy?

We offer full-day hire for just £60 or half-day for £30 on our electric road bikes. This includes the use of helmets, too! Our bikes are subject to availability (& very popular) so we do advise that you book these in advance of your stay.

8. Is the bike storage secure? Will I need to bring my own lock?

You betcha! The whole area is covered by CCTV, although for peace of mind, we do still advise you secure your bikes with your own locking device.  

9. Do you offer anything extra for special occasions, such as birthdays & anniversaries?

Does the desert miss the rain? Indeed we do! We have heaps of packages that you can add to your stay. From a bottle of prosecco or cupcakes on arrival to a day out on our bikes with a picnic to take with you – just let us know what you’d like & we’ll have it sorted for you on the day of your choice!

10. Is breakfast complimentary to every stay?

Our rates are currently set at room only unless otherwise stated, however if you’re like us & want to know where your next meal’s coming from, you’re more than welcome to add on breakfast for each day of your stay!

Our light buffet is £11 but if you fancy the full shebang, including a delicious cooked breakfast, it’s just £15 per Adult*. 

*Children’s breakfasts cost £6.50. 

11. What amenities do you offer?

We have a flat screen TV, mini bar, ensuite with power shower, high speed WiFi, coffee machine, free water, fresh milk, room safe, iron & board, hairdryer, bike & boot toiletries & FREE parking voucher in every single room.

12. What are your restaurant serving times?

Breakfast Menu | 7:30 am – 9:30 am weekdays | 8:30 am – 10 am weekends & bank holidays

Cafe Menu | 11 am – 5 pm

Lunch Menu | 12 pm – 2 pm

Dinner Menu | 5 pm – 9 pm

Bar | 12 pm – 11 pm

13. Where’s the closest train station?

Scarborough train station is just a short 10-minute walk from the hotel. Maybe less if you have a keen mutt!

14. What is the hotel cancellation & amend policy?

If you wish to change your booking, you can do so free of charge if you give us at least three days notice. 

If you’d simply like to cancel your stay, you’ll only lose your deposit, which depending on the rate plan will either be 25% or the cost of your first night’s stay. 

If you start to display signs of coronavirus you must contact us ASAP to move your booking. This won’t cost you a penny – even if you contact us on the day you’re supposed to check in.

15. What payment methods do you accept?

Due to the pandemic, we are encouraging contactless or card payments via our self check-in terminals. If you are unable to pay this way & wish to pay by cash, please let us know.

16. Is your hotel accessible for wheelchair users?

Our restaurant is fully accessible with toilet facilities too. Unfortunately, our rooms are not wheelchair accessible.
